HISTORY

 

The Morton family became involved in the industrial accommodation business in 1970 when Cal Morton became a founding partner of Westcamp Construction Catering, in Edmonton.

After selling out to his partners in 1980, he continued to operate as Cal Morton Management Ltd.,
buying, selling, renting, and repairing camps and wellsites.

Deciding to retire in 1995, his son Greg, and daughter-in-law Connie, became involved full time.
Having been around the business for many years, they decided to build new units rather than buying and repairing used.  At that time, Gemco Industrial Trailers was formed.

As it turned out, Cal did not retire and as of September 2002, his grandson, Kelly, has also become involved and three generations of Mortons now work together.

With staff and management, there is over 100 years of combined experience at Gemco.
